1. Our 100% Travel Disruption Refund Guarantee
We provide a full refund (100% of the rental amount paid) if you are unable to collect or use your ski/snowboard rental due to travel disruptions. This includes:
- Flight delays or cancellations
- Illness or injury (yours or immediate family member's)
- Other unforeseen personal circumstances that prevent travel (e.g., bereavement, visa issues)
- Any other significant travel-related issue beyond your control
How to claim:
- Notify us as soon as possible (ideally before your pickup date) via email (info@snowbiz.co.nz) or phone +64 034412085.
- Provide reasonable evidence where requested (e.g., airline confirmation of delay/cancellation, medical note).
- Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–14 business days.
This guarantee applies even if the mountains remain open—we understand travel plans can fall apart before you even arrive.
2. Cancellations Before Pickup Date
- Full refund if you cancel at any time before your scheduled pickup date/time—no questions asked, no fees.
- Simply contact us to cancel. Your booking will be removed, and we'll process the refund promptly.
3. In-Resort Refunds & Mountain Closures
- If all local mountains (Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, and Cardrona) are fully closed due to weather or other reasons on any day of your rental period, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund or credit for the unused days.
- Partial closures, poor visibility, high winds, or "no snow days" do not qualify for refunds (skiing/snowboarding is a weather-dependent activity).
- For any other in-resort issues (e.g., you decide not to use the gear on an open day), no refunds or credits will be issued.
4. No-Shows & Late Cancellations
- If you do not collect your gear on the pickup date without prior notice, the booking is considered a no-show—no refund will be issued.
- Changes to booking dates after pickup may be possible subject to availability, but are not guaranteed.
5. General Terms
- All refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases of suspected fraud or misuse.
- This policy does not cover lift passes, lessons, accommodation, or other third-party services—check those providers' policies.
