SNOWBIZ is located in the STATION BUILDING, situated in the Queenstown CBD, right beside the NZSKI SNOW CENTRE.
Our shop is easy to find and parking is available right outside.
Buses to all the local ski fields Coronet Peak and The Remarkables depart from right outside our door.
About us
Snowbiz was established in 2003 our aim is to provide the highest quality in ski, snowboard, boot and clothing hire! I have been involved in the ski industry since the mid 1980's.
Below are some of my favourite trips - I have been all over the world and rate Queenstown and its local mountains as world class. We are very lucky to have it all in New Zealand.
My passion for skiing ignited on a school trip from Southland up to the Queenstown mountains. That experience was the spark that fuelled my love for the snow, leading me on global adventures across some of the world's most unique ski destinations.
Queenstown to Kashmir: One of my first international skiing escapade took me to the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir, where the slopes are not just covered in snow you have monkeys in the trees. Skiing there was an adventure like no other, blending the thrill of the sport with the exotic beauty of the Himalayas. The contrast between the serene silence of the deep snow and the lively chatter of the missiles flying over from the Pakistan boarder made it more than interesting. Living at 8000ft close to the boarder - we would ski down to the valley floor and get returned back to the village in old 4WD Suzuki jeeps.
Queenstown to the Austrian Alps: I was invited to the Alps for work and ended up in some of the most pristine alpine conditions you can imagine. Here, traditional charm meets modern excellence. The ski resorts, the excellent après-ski culture, and the sheer beauty of the alps left me wanting to get back!

We work hard to bring you the best models of ski and snowboard gear for rent in Queenstown. Our skis and snowboards are all maintained (sharpened, Crystal Glide & hot waxed ) prior to each and every rental. This is all done in our on-site ski and snowboard workshop. Our on-going fleet replacement programme and highly trained staff will help to ensure you enjoy every day on the slopes to the full.
